Abstract:
Scarce remains of Dimylidae have been found in three different layers of Miocene sediments at Bełchatów in central Poland. Horizon C, dated to the Early Miocene (MN4), contained Plesiodimylus cf. chantrei and Chainodus intercedens. In horizon В (early Middle Miocene, MN5/6) P. chantrei and C. intercedens were also present. In horizon A (end of the Middle Miocene, MN9) Plesiodimylus chantrei, Plesiodimylus sp. and ?Chainodus sp. have been identified. These remains are described and illustrated and their systematic position discussed.
