New localities of Late Cenozoic faunas from Przymiłowice in the Cracow-Wieluń Upland, Poland

Abstract:

Sediments in six new fossil-bearing localities of the quarry in Przymiłowice near Olsztyn are described and correlated. Twelve faunas representing four faunal assemblages of Upper Villanyian (Late Pliocene; snails and vertebrates), Lower Biharian (Early Pleistocene; vertebrates), post-Biharian (? Middle Pleistocene; bats), and Ho­locene (vertebrates) age were detected and their preliminary faunal lists are presented.
