New additions to the subgenus Trichocera (Trichocera) Meigen (Diptera: Trichoceridae)

Abstract:

Additional descriptions of Trichocera colei ALEXANDER, 1919, T. fattigiana ALEXANDER, 1952, T. sakaguchii ALEXANDER, 1930 and T. tetonensis ALEXANDER, 1945, allow to transfer these species to the subgenus Trichocera (Trichocera) MEIGEN. Four further species are added on basis of literature data. The updated list comprises 22 species of this subgenus.
