Ansorgiidae, a new family from the Upper Cretaceous of Asia (Diptera, Ptychopteromorpha)

Abstract:

Ansorgiidae fam. n., with Ansorgia praedicta gen. et sp. n., are described and illustrated and their phylogenetical relations are discussed; the new family shows characters linking Tanyderidae and Eoptychopteridae.
