Abstract:
Numerous remains of the genus Condylura Illiger 1811, at present endemic in the New World, have been found in the abundant fossil material from the Middle and Late Pliocene of Poland. Two new fossil species of the genus Condylura, Condylura kowalskii n. sp. and Condylura izabellae n. sp., have been described. The occurrence of these forms in the fossil material from Poland fills the existing gap in our knowledge of the origin of these interesting moles.
